The convoluted internal coil gives the wort greater surface area for contact with the cold water. This reduces the amount of water needed to cool the wort! The wort runs through one tube, while the cold water runs through another tube allowing for the shortest possible cool off times.
It is used for beer cooling or malt juice cooling. It usually take 10-25 mins to cool 19L malt juice from 99 °C to 29 °C. Of course it depends on water's temperature and flow speed.
In wort boiling 15 minutes can complete disinfection.
Cooling the cooked wort fastly,let the wort reach the preference temperature of Yeast inoculation . (About 30 Celsius degree)
In the process of cooling, from time to time by mixing wort cooler can greatly speed up the cooling .
